Our Services
Our entry into underground drilling began at the historic RASP Mine in Broken Hill. We recruited site-experienced crews, integrated a new rig and adapted to spatial constraints by configuring a smaller mast. This allowed us to comply with site requirements and maintain uninterrupted drilling. Daily coordination and responsive scheduling enabled us to stabilise operations, safeguard core recovery and build client trust, laying the groundwork for future project expansion and capability growth.
Central Deep Hole Drilling’s breakthrough into underground operations began at the historic RASP Mine site in Broken Hill.
To accelerate mobilisation, we prioritised recruiting experienced drillers and offsiders who had previously worked on the RASP site. Their familiarity with the underground environment and existing relationships with mine personnel helped streamline onboarding and build trust quickly. While initial deployment highlighted spatial constraints due to the rig’s large mast, we adapted with a smaller mast configuration—ensuring compliance with site limitations and uninterrupted drilling progress.
Our strong performance has earned the client’s confidence, leading to the commissioning of a second underground rig on the same project. This expansion has significantly increased drilling capacity and enabled the client to fast-track data acquisition. With two underground rigs now operating efficiently, we continue to exceed expectations and support the mine’s future development planning.
